Snowed-In

So anytime anything interesting happens I take some pictures and develop a long post in my head.  But when I actually sit down to write I never feel like writing much.  Oh well.  Anyway, last Sunday it snowed 6 inches at our house in only a few hours.  It was crazy considering it rarely snows at all here.Jan snow 001The six inches did make our yard look good.  Besides the bike you cannot see the various toys scattered around the yard and the trench Ben made it barely visible.Jan snow 004 My kids playing in the snow.  We do not have any snow clothes so we had to wear a ton of layers and not stay out long.  Westley and Char did not care though.  Westley just wanted to make footprints in any fresh snow he could find.  And Char just wanted to climb the snow piles Ben made when shoveling the driveway.  (She loves to climb).Jan snow 007 Jan snow 008 Jan snow 010 Jan snow 011 Jan snow 012

Because GA does not get snow regularly they could not handle cleaning the roads so we were snowed in ALL week long.  Most people did not start leaving their houses until Thur or Fri.  Schools and businesses were cancelled all week.  It was crazy.  So on Monday, being snowed in and all, we decided to watch a movie and eat popcorn.  The only problem was that when I went to make the popcorn I could not find the top to my air popper ANYWHERE.  We figured that Char must have done something with and probably threw it in the garbage can.  Then a few days later when the family was play a board game (except Char) she came in asking for popcorn holding the pieces to the air popper INCLUDING the missing piece.  And that was just about the most exciting thing that happened during our snowed in week.
