Christmas

This was our first Christmas without our whole family together, so it was a little different. But we video-called Jenna on Christmas and multiple times throughout December, so we still got to share the day with her in a way. We had pictures with Santa at our ward party, and they turned out great.

Narnia the Musical

Charlotte loved being Mrs. Beaver in Narnia the Musical. Charlotte and the other beavers did a great job and they were hilarious. She loves to perform and enjoyed her first lead in a full-length show.

 

UMary Math 2024

Westley and the math club attended the University of Mary math competition again this year. Westley had a clean sweep winning first in every category! He really enjoys this competition and we can't believe it is his last year attending it.

Last HS Cross Country Season

Somehow we have reached Westley's last season of high school cross country. This year Westley has had a large growth spurt, so he started out cross country with an injury from that, but things eventually improved and he finished the season well. The team did well and region and state and Westley was voted best teammate. Also, the state meet had amazing weather this year, the complete opposite of last year.

Northwest Festival

Charlotte auditioned and was selected to participate in the Northwest Festival of Music at Minot State University. It was her first time ever singing in an SATB choir. She has only ever done children's 2 part choirs. It was a good learning experience and they performed beautifully as well.

Idaho Falls Mission

Jenna was called to serve in the Idaho Idaho Falls Mission starting at the end of August. She is very excited to be serving the people of Idaho. Also, on her P-Day before she flew to the MTC we went to visit Medora here in ND.

Family Pictures 2024

We were able to get some family pictures before Jenna left on her mission. Glad that the timing worked out to be able to take them in the sunflower fields. Made the pictures beautiful.

JSTI

Westley had the amazing opportunity to attend the Joint Science and Technology Institute (JSTI) summer program in Baltimore, Maryland. He spent two weeks learning, researching, and working with professionals in areas such as the US Department of Defense. On the final day each group gave a presentation on what they learned. It was a great opportunity and paid for by their sponsors and donors.

Cinderella Summer Camp

Charlotte enjoyed another show and musical theater summer camp with her friends. This year was Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and Charlotte was the shy and studious maiden. She was also the understudy for the Queen.

 

Dance Recital - Through the Decades

Neither of my girls has had a full dance recital in many years, even though they have been taking dance throughout that time. It was nice to finally see one of my girls in a recital again and I realized I really have missed full recitals and performances. Charlotte took point for the first time this year and also contemporary, ballet, and tap.

Jr Year Track

Westley ran track again this year. He enjoyed having more kids on the distance team this year, including a few good friends.
