Sledding with Family

We went to visit my mom and there was just enough snow on the ground to sled. The kids were pretty excited because we had not been sledding for a few years. They had a great time, especially with Uncle Kevin. There may have been some snowballs thrown too.

Christmas Time

We love Christmastime at our house. We love to decorate, see Christmas lights, help others, give gifts, make gingerbread houses, perform dances and concerts, and of course open presents.

We had a great year again.

Christmas Party

We were able to attend a really fun Christmas party at a trampoline jump place. The kids loved it and made us take a few videos of them.

BYU Room

It only took me a year, but I finally finished Westley's Christmas present from last year, painting his room BYU style.

Weekend Trip

We recently took a trip to state cross country. Westley had a great race and was happy to qualify for nationals.

After the race we went to see BYU play football. Westley was really excited to see Spencer from Sports Nation at the game. He was taking a break during half time and talking with a relative. I didn't have my phone or a camera with me, but his sister took a picture for us and texted to me. They were super kind.

Running with Big Bro

Charlotte has been inspired by her big brother's running and wanted to run a whole mile, just like him. They decided to run together and they even held hands for awhile. They are great friends.

Zombie Dance

The girls hip hop class recently performed for Halloween. They were zombies. They looked great and  were scary performers.

Learning about Mummies

We learned about mummies with our homeschool group. Below Charlotte turned her friend into a mummy!

Great Day!

Last Saturday was a great day for Westley and Jenna. Westley's flag football team won the championship! They were undefeated and Westley was a super defender.

Jenna went to a writing workshop and won an Honorable Mention award for her story.

Swiss Days

Westley ran in another 5K and won first place in his age group. He now has $20 towards some running shoes! Winning money is fun!

Shakespeare

The summer is never complete without a visit to our friend William and his lovely actors in the 

green show.

Summer Running

There was quite a bit of running happening this summer. Here are some highlights:

Westley joined a track team this summer and ran and state and region. His team was pretty fast and got first in a relay.

He also ran a Pioneer Day 5K with some of his friends from track.

Finally, Westley and Charlotte both participated in a summer running program sponsored by the local high school team and each earned a first place ribbon at the end of summer race!

Visiting the State Capitol

While on one of our trips to visit Ben's parents this summer  we had the opportunity to visit the State Capitol. I have never been to any state capitol before, so I found it quite interesting. We visited the chambers and saw many beautiful murals.

Cinderella Play

The girls were able to participate in a Cinderella play. Jenna was Elsa the narrator and a Town Crier. Jenna has improved so much since her first play. Her hard work is paying off. Charlotte was Perla and Gus. She was a super cute and talented mouse.

Produce!

Ben was pretty happy with his gardening skills this summer. The fresh fruit is very yummy.

Hiking

We live in the perfect place for hiking. The weather is great and there are plenty of trials. I don't love it, but the kids and Ben do.
