Gross Boy

We really do love our son, but he is a mess. On the day I took these pictures he fell down a couple of cement stairs, so he as a few extra cuts, but this is how he generally looks. (I was only standing two feet away when he fell, but I did not see because I was trying to read the mail, sorry kid). He does fall and hit his head at least twice a day, so I am surprised he looks as good as he does. I am beginning to wonder why I ever bathe him if he looks like this only hours later. If you notice his shirt is soaked, his nose is running all over and he is dirty. I do not think he has any holes in his body that do not have a constant flow of bodily fluid. Really all this grossness just makes him cuter because he does not seem to care, and is happy in spite of it all. By the way, his ear tube surgery is scheduled for Thursday, I will let everyone know how he does.

Jenna's Trophy

Jenna had her last soccer game a couple of weeks ago, and received her trophy. She loves her trophy and keeps talking about it. Westley loves the trophy too. In fact it has already broken once, good thing it was fixable. She loved playing soccer and I am glad she was able to participate this year.

Name the next Baby......

Make sure you participate in our very unscientific poll and have your opinion count!!! You can vote as many times as you would like and vote for your favorites.

Updates on Medical Stuff

We found out today that baby number 3 is a girl. For the first time I was right. Well, with the first 2 I did not feel that is was one or the other I just wanted a specific sex. This time, however, I have felt all along that is was a girl, and I was right.

Also, during the ultrasound we found out I have a low lying placenta. It is not over the cervix, but it is right up to it. The doctor told us that generally as the uterus grows up the placenta goes up with it, so he believes there will probably be no problem. We do need to have another ultrasound in a month to make sure it is moving out of the way. In the meantime I am to rest and not lift anything. I guess Westley will need to learn to walk by himself more often.

Also, during the 2nd ultrasound scheduled next month we will need to recheck the growth of the baby. She was almost 2 weeks smaller than expected. And my uterus did not grow as much as it should have since my last appointment. Since the baby, organs, placenta, fluid, and umbilical cord look great, it may just be me needing to gain more weight. I definitely am not a big as I was with the other kids at this point, and no one believes me when I tell them I am 22 weeks, and I have gained 15 pounds so far. Anyway, as long as she does not drop further away from the original due date than everything will be fine. He said up to 2 weeks difference is okay. I am to eat whatever I want, especially milkshakes, yum. So in a month hopefully we will find out that everything is fine and we can continue to have a problem free pregnancy.

Yesterday we had Westley's ENT appointment. The fluid in his middle ears is still there and he will need tubes. The doctor did give us one last prescription to try, but he did not think it would REALLY work, since this has been going on who knows how long. From what I researched it sounds like no medicine will help, only tubes. Anyway, the doctors office is getting everything set up to have his surgery. When we go in for his pre-op they will check his ears again in case the prescription worked, if not we go ahead with the tubes. We should be hearing from them soon with when we will be getting everything done.

Boy or Girl?

I added a poll on the side under our pictures where you can vote whether you think we are having a boy or girl. Also, if you have any name ideas let us know. I will post next week when we find out.

Westley Jumping off the Couch

Westley likes to climb and jump off of things. We thought this was funny. I think the couch is high for such a little person to be jumping off of, but he loves it.

Recently he also learned to push the dinning table chairs over to the kitchen counter so he can get into the drawers and other things. This has equaled a lot of cleaning up kitchen utensil for me.

Today, after playing outside, I gave the kids a fruit snack (which they love but rarely get) and then got one for myself. I opened mine ate one then set it down to go make sure Jenna soccer ball was back in the garage (which it was not). When I came back, I was gone for like 5 minutes talking to my neighbor, a chair was pulled over by the counter and my snack was gone. Apparently Westley finished his snack and then went over and ate mine.

Jenna'a Gymnastics

I promised Jenna I would put some pictures up of her doing her gymnastics. She loves it.
