Making Christmas Calendars

We made a "handmade" calendar for the grandparents for Christmas this year. It turned out really cute. The picture for every page of the calendar was a handprint from the kids.
Here is Jenna working on her pages. She was working on a turkey for November, and the Santa for December.
Here is Westley after he finished his pages. He did NOT enjoy the process. If anyone ever wants to try this I would suggest the child be at least 3 or so. Here is a link for how to make your own handprint calendar, in case anyone is interested.

Christmas

Here are some pictures from Christmas.Westley only wanted to eat the candy from the stocking. He was not very interested in opening presents. However he loved to play with the toys once they were opened.

Jenna opening presents. She was very excited about every present.
The kids on Christmas Eve in their new pajamas. Jenna has princesses and Westley has Cars.
Here is our nativity. Jenna was Mary, Westley was Joseph, Ben was a shepherd, and Jill was an angel.
Westley thought the box was quite fun. He later got stuck.
Opening more presents a few days later when they arrived. Westley actually opened the presents this time. Jenna loved everything she received.

Baby #3 Gets a Name

After much deliberation, polling, and other means of determining the baby's name, I believe we have finally come to a decision. Since we didn't get a majority decision in the poll and we refused to have a recount or a runoff, we had to come up with an alternate solution. In the end, it came down to what Jenna could say correctly since she still hasn't gotten her brother's name down yet!! Our daughters name will be Charlotte Caroline Rae. We did discover that both names have ties to our family history.

Westley the People Eater

Westley came into the kitchen the other day with a plate, fork, and two Little People (the old kind). Then set them on the table and proceeded to pretend to eat the people. We always say he is a carnivore because he loves to eat meat. Well I guess he is a cannibal too.

Jenna's Birthday and Cake

Here is a picture of Jenna's birthday cake. Ben decorated it. Jenna wanted her Dad to do it not her Mom. The cake is Ariel, and it is what she has been wanting for her birthday ever since Westley's Birthday.

Jenna is Four

I cannot believe Jenna is four. I guess time does go by pretty fast. She is very excited to be four and have her Ariel cake on Friday when her friends come over. I will post those pictures later.

Closet Organizers

So we have been organizing, rearranging, getting rid of, etc of all our stuff to make room for baby #3. Well, to clean out one of the closets we moved a bunch of stuff into our closet and stacked it on top of the wire rack. Probably not the best idea because a couple days later everything came crashing down. It was really loud and shook the house, I, being from California, thought it was a earthquake. Ben, however, knew exactly what happened. Well, that gave Ben an excuse to build closet organizers out of wood in our closet. Something we have wanted to do for almost three years now. Anyway, Ben finished the project in less that two days, amazing for him. Here are the pictures of his finished work.
