So, one of the best things about our new house is our back patio and yard. The kids LOVE it and are out there all the time. Westley has learned to ride a bike since moving here and now wants to ride all the time. He rode it over a mile the other day and would have kept going. Jenna on the other hand ….
Anyway, recently we have been finding caterpillars in our beloved yard and Jenna has taken a liking to them. She will not touch them but gets others to collect them for her and she finds leaves to give to them. So far we cannot figure out what they want to eat, but that is not stopping the kids from trying.
Here is a trail if leaves up and down the slide. The caterpillar just kept crawling past them.

Well, one day while Ben and I were inside getting dinner ready there was a killing. Jenna came running in the house crying and very upset. In her words “ I was too scared to touch the caterpillar and Charlotte stepped on it.” And she did step on it good because I could barely tell that it was a caterpillar. This lead to Charlotte’s new nickname “Caterpillar Killer.”

I love that story! So cute. It will be so fun when she's older and you guys can still call her caterpillar killer and it will get a good laugh. Miss you guys. We are trying to set up a move to the West so maybe we can go through your area on our way and stay and play for a little bit sometime later this year?
