So I thought I would post some info and funny things about each of my kids and first is Westley (not sure why I picked him first, I just did. Ben would say it is because he is my baby). Sorry if this ends up being long.
Westley is almost three and is turning into a sweet, nice young man. After a difficult babyhood and toddlerhood this is great! He is usually well behaved and generally just wants to be left alone to play. We have occasional tantrums generally when things do not follow his routine. He loves going to nursery class at church and to play at friends’ houses but mostly because he like to play with different toys, not to actually play with friends.
He started talking at the beginning of the year (he really only had a few words before than) and it has been awesome. Well except for his first and favorite sentence “I don’t want it” said with a super whiny voice. Also speech therapy seems to have made no effect on his speech. He never paid attention, only wanted to play with the toys, and when Trip would try to get him to do something he would pretend like he was falling over and say “woo, woo.” It was really funny. On his last day with Trip before we moved, after 10 months of being mute he said everything Trip asked him to. Seriously I do not get Westley, or boys for that matter.
As far as his ears and constant fluid build up in his head go … well I don’t know. Seriously no point in asking me because I don’t know what is going on. All I know is we go to the ENT a lot more than other children with tubes. Stuff like: discharge from ears, no discharge, tubes coming out, tubes now fine, try these drops, now try this medicine. Honestly I do not think the ENT knows what to do either, and I believe he is very good at what he does! Like I have always thought.. there is just something a little off with the boy.
His limited vocabulary but metal abilities of a almost 3 year old lends to some funny saying, etc. Example: One day he was saying “I Wawa. I Wawa” (Wawa is Jenna) and then he walked over to Jenna and said “Hi Me.” (Me = Westley, can’t say his name)
Anyway… to the picture. He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to ride his bike (the little pink one), but he also loves to ride Jenna’s bike even though his feet barely reach. Jenna, scaredy that she is, actually prefers to ride the little bike. I like the picture because I think that they both look funny on the wrong sized bikes. Westley has ridden his bike well over a mile before and wants to keep going. The other day he started doing tricks like no feet and then no feet and no hands.
Other things he loves: Thomas trains, Wii sports, gymnastics (funny story to come later), singing songs, letters, numbers, and computer games(he is always doing new things on the computer, shortcuts, special keys on the keyboard etc). Speaking of letters… so when I said he only had a few words at the beginning of the year, well that was mostly true. He only said a few words but he knew all his letters by sight (has known them for a long time, taught himself) and could say most of them. And when we give him a blank piece of paper to color he often writes letters like H, O, Q, A, K, L etc Seriously like I said before I do not get the kid!

I love that he loves computers. It reminds me of the time he took apart the brand new keyboard!!
