Cape Canaveral

While we were in Florida Brent, Ben's brother-in-law, took us to where he works at Cape Canaveral and showed us around. It was very fascinating. Jenna enjoyed her special pink badge that let her through security. She still has it and calls it her badge to go to Brent's work. Here are some thing we saw and pics Ben took. I will try to say what they are, hopefully Brent does not read this and think I am crazy or did not listen to him correctly.
I think this was a memorial to John Glenn, the first free man in space.

This is where the astronauts and their families stay and party the night before they launch. I think it is a tradition they have done maybe from the beginning?

Inside this launch tower are two rockets that were going to be launched soon. They have satellite stuff for cell phones etc. This is what Brent works on. He is actually the guy that counts done 10, 9, 8 ... for some launches. Cool!

This was the command center for the Apollo missions. They thought the dome shape would disperse the effect of nuclear bombs or something like that.

This is the tower for shuttle launches, with people. We could not get any closer because the shuttle was on the pad since they were launching in about a week. As guests we were not allowed over there. Hmm, I wonder why?

This is the coolest picture because it is us on the actual launch pad of the Apollo missions (I think, it might have been the earlier missions).

By the way, ignore my pudgy tummy I have been working out since then and have lost 2 lbs already. My tummy is much better now. Charlotte really stretched my tummy to the limit.
