Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Our big news this year is our move to North Dakota. Also, only four of us moved because Jenna started college in August.

Ben has been busy at his new job as the Executive Director of Parks and Recreation. Ben and Westley also spent a week hiking and camping with Ben’s brothers and dad again this year. He is excited about the new challenge at work as well as the opportunity to have new projects at our new home including finishing the basement and yard.

Jill has been busy homeschooling the kids and chauffeuring them to all their activities. She also was the Stage Manager for two productions, Descendants and Peter Pan this year. It was a lot of work but fun to be in charge. She is also happy to graduate our first child from our homeschool. Jill is serving in the ward Primary again in North Dakota and recently began working with the Stake Young Women.

Jenna has been busy with dance, theater, and college. She began the year as a member of St. George Dance Company’s Youth Artists where she performed and took dance classes in multiple styles. Dance is still her passion, but instead of owning a studio, she is thinking she may want to teach dance in college. She graduated with an Associates Degree this spring. Jenna spent the summer working multiple jobs. She was a Swim Lesson Coordinator and was the director of a musical theater summer camp.  This August she began college at BYU. She is loving college so far and doing well in her classes.

Westley still loves sports, math, coding, and anything that can be remotely competitive. He ran with the high school cross country team in North Dakota this year and was happy to compete on Varsity at State. At a large meet with boys from North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada he placed in the top 20 in the JV race and won a cool shirt. He continues to enjoy math and joined the math club here in North Dakota where they participate in multiple competitions. At the University of Mary Math Competition, Westley placed 1st in the 9th/10th individual round and his team won first place in the team round. This spring Westley also participated on the high school’s Esports team where he won the school Mario Kart competition.

Charlotte enjoys the arts, performing and fine. She was in four (yes 4) plays this year: Once on this Island, Descendants, Peter Pan, and Anything Goes. She loves any opportunity to be on stage and perform. She has also started to enjoy architecture as well. She entered many art pieces and two architecture projects into the county fair this spring and a couple of items won special ribbons. She also entered an art festival in North Dakota and won an Honorable Mention ribbon in the student division.
