On our return trip we went into South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and some of the other attractions in the area. We began at South Dakota School of Mines Natural History Museum. Westley was excited because they play Dixie in sports.
We then went on to Mount Rushmore. It was a first time for all of us. I thought it would be bigger, but it was still pretty big.

We then went on to go on a tour of a gold mine. It was cool and dark in there. Sadly the men who worked this gold mine hardly found any gold.
