The whole purpose of our vacation this year was going to the beach because none of the children have ever even seen a beach before. Here is how the first day went...

Charlotte seemed to really like the beach. I think the waves were calming to her. The sound reminded her of her white noise at home.

Jenna really liked to play in the sand and look for sea shells, she found a ton of great sea shells when we went to the beach near Aubrey's house.

This is about as far a Jenna would go in the water. She was not scared of the waves but of sharks! As you can see we are missing Westley.

These pictures are of Jenna jumping the waves.

So, everyone was done at the shore and where was Westley? Well, he was back by our stuff sitting in the stroller. You can she him at the back of the picture.

He sat in the stroller for over an hour. He did not even want to get on the sand. When he finally would walk on the sand he walked all crazy around all the divits.

I dragged him down to the shore. I made him sit there with me where the waves would just reach us sometimes. As you can see he would not even put his feet on the ground.

Ben made a little pool for him where it filled with water from the waves. He liked it until ...

a wave came and got him!

But later he continued playing. Charlotte had a lot of fun and was so worn out she fell asleep with Daddy.

So it was finally time to go home and guess who would not leave? Yes, Westley!
