Well, we decided to try giving Charlotte "solid food" (a.k.a. baby rice cereal). I started the other two kids at the same age (5 months) and things went well. Jenna took to it immediately and Westley was unsure but liked it the second time. Charlotte, however, has been a little different. Granted she has NEVER until last week had ANYTHING but milk straight from mommy. Not even attempts at breastmilk bottles or anything. So for her this was a completely new experience.

Next bite she became completely horrified at the idea of food off a spoon. She would take no more. We have had the same experience all week, one bite (I think she is caught off guard) and then a tightly closed mouth.
After the whole "ordeal" she looked at us like "what the heck were you doing?" I guess milk from mommy is the best stuff.
